We encourage our athletes, particularly non-professional, to find a balance between family, professional career, health and sports. Sport should be a lifestyle enhancer without compromising any of the other areas. We believe that balance is the key for performance. My name is Maria Tom\u00e9 and in July I will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Between 2018 and 2021 under the guidance of Rodolfo Louren\u00e7o I represented the national triathlon team for the first time (2018), I was second in the national sprint championship and 9th in the European junior championship (2019), national junior champion in sprint (2020), absolute national champion in sprint (2021). The work we developed made me grow as an athlete and helped me become the person and athlete I am today.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

I worked with Rodolfo Louren\u00e7o from the end of 2014 until the end of 2019. I arrived with an average level and left with high performance level, national champion and European champion. As an athlete I always had a say and discussed training ideas with RL. This athlete-coach dialogue, was fundamental in the individualization of training, the results obtained and the very healthy relationship we built!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

During the years I was guided by Rodolfo Louren\u00e7o, I represented the national team for the first time and achieved my first international medal. I learned about how to train, how to work as a team, achieved greater personal development, as well as the confidence to be a better athlete every day and every training session.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

In 2011 I started training with RL. The main focus was duathlon where we achieved some national titles and participation in the junior duathlon world championship in 2014 and the junior duathlon European championship in 2015. After a brief interruption in the sport for professional reasons, I returned to training with RL in 2019, this time as a \"worker-athlete\" on a shift schedule, which forced RL to constantly adjust training. With this work I returned to wear the national colors at the Military Triathlon World Championship in 2022 and 2023. In addition to the sporting achievements, the years we worked together were important in my development as a person.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

When I started training with Rodolfo, I had already been in Triathlon for a few years. It was a choice I made due to his experience and success with high-performance athletes. He was undoubtedly a person who helped me evolve and who passed on his experience and enthusiasm in this sport, both in training and in competitions. From the work I developed with Rodolfo Louren\u00e7o, I highlight the progression in the type of training carried out, the adoption of new training strategies and technologies such as internships in the Jamor altitude room, always with the aim of innovating and experimenting with methods that would make it possible to improve our performance. This approach resulted in the titles of national champion in triathlon and athletics (national road 10km) and several medals in European cups. Furthermore, RL waas able to manage expectations, motivate and was always available to discuss objectives and methods to achieve them.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

For me, Rodolfo Louren\u00e7o is a mentor and a reference coach in Portuguese triathlon. I had the privilege of being coached by him for 6 years and these were critical years for my development as an athlete and coach. As an athlete, Rodolfo guided me from a beginner triathlete to a National Age-Group champion and to participation in Elite Triathlon events. Rodolfo Louren\u00e7o is a dedicated coach and passionate about the sport. He is a demanding but patient coach which has allowed me to develop not only as an athlete, but also as a person.
